Title: | Production and characterization of Carbon based and inorganic nanostructures |
Abstract: | Carbon based and inorganic nanostructures have been produced and characterized by spectroscopic (XPS, Raman) and microscopic (SEM, TEM, AFM) techniques. The inorganic species obtained (MoSI) can be used to produce conductive nanonetworks with metal nanoparticles. A reaction pathway leading to the MoS2 production by laser ablation in liquid has been proposed. Alternative ways to produce carbon based nanostructures (nanotubes, nanowires and graphene) have been studied. Carbon nanotubes have been produced by arc discharge in liquid nitrogen and the influence of the arc parameters on the ID/IG values has been evaluated by Raman. Carbon nanorubes have been used to produce graphene sheets by an oxidative unzipping process and studied by XPS and AFM. The interaction between carbon nanowires and noble metals has been investigated by SERS. |
