Abstract

The project S.E.A.MED. has the aim of creating a prototype system for performing remote diagnosis of first level in emergency situations caused by accidents, health problems or illness inpersons occurring in locations without medical support. The baseline scenario of the project is to support the health of people at sea. The system is primarily designed to provide remote support of the first medical intervention for people who are on sailing vessels, offshore platforms, etc.. especially in those cases where it is not provided, on board, the presence of medical personnel or health in general.
